Workers' Compensation

If you suffer a work related injury or occupational disease, the Ohio Bureau of Workers Compensation provides benefits, services, and pays related medical expenses. It is important that you report the accident or injury to your employer and, when seeking medical attention, be sure to tell your doctor that this is a workers' compensation claim. If you lose eight or more calendar days of work as a result of the injury or occupational disease, the BWC pays compensation for lost wages (temporary total disability benefits).

Temporary total disability benefits will be paid until you are released to return to work, your physician determines that the disability is permanent, or until a hearing is held on this issue if your physician and another physician disagree as to whether the condition is permanent.

Permanent partial disability is also available to injured workers as compensation for permanent damage that results from a work related injury or occupational disease. You may qualify for this award even if you did not lose time from work as a result of the accident or occupational disease.

Please call Glantz Law Offices at (330) 492-1800 to be referred to our Workers Compensation attorney.
